  9. Here is a list of known UNIVERSITY DISTRIBUTIONS.

  13. I'm not interested in internal distributions, but only distributions that your 
  14. university passes around widely.  If you don't care who sees your university's 
  15. news, then send in your information.  If however your news is private, then 
  16. don't send your information, and if you see your distribution here, then ask 
  17. to have it removed.  If YOU consider it a local or limited distribution, it 
  18. shouldn't be here.

  20. PLEASE BE SOME SORT OF OFFICIAL PERSON (sysadmin or school executive) when 
  21. asking to add or remove distributions here.  If you don't go to that school, 
  22. don't bother sending their information.  It will be discarded with no 
  23. acknowledgement.  Thank you for your understanding.  I'm trying to be accurate.
  24. If you do not understand the format, then tell me what confuses you and I will 
  25. attempt to make it more clear.

  49. The "distribution tag" should be lower case.  The others should be upper case 
  50. iff they have been defined elsewhere as a distribution.  If it *has* been 
  51. defined, then please use the actual distribution tag.

  55. If a distribution has *not* been defined, then please spell out the name,
  56. in lower case, (DO NOT USE YOUR POSTAL CODE) and mark it with an asterisk (*).

  60. The first word after the colon (:) should describe the word before the colon 
  61. completely.  The first character after the colon is a space, one space only.

  63. If there is a plus sign (+) then the site labeled with it will NOT
  64. feed that distribution to other sites passing "all" in their sys file.  
  65. It is recommended that all sys admins do this to help fix problems with 
  66. distributions.
